With LOD, you get all the best bits of being a lawyer - interesting work with some of the world's most exciting organisations, plus the flexibility and freedom to live your life how you want.

Who are we looking for?

We have a strong pipeline of exciting and career-enhancing both full-time and part-time assignments with prominent Energy, Mining, Oil & Gas and Construction corporates, and we're interested in hearing from Mining, Energy and/or Oil & Gas Lawyers across various levels to join us and commence their LOD journey.

These assignments offer hybrid and sometimes remote working arrangements. Day to day, depending on the client you will be seconded to will see you advising on a range of mining matters (such as tenements, regulatory approvals, project financing and development agreements), energy matters (including renewable energy projects, carbon markets and drafting the relevant documentation) and/or oil and gas matters (including but not limited to upstream, midstream and downstream transactions).

To join us, you will:

  • Have at least 4-12 years PQE ideally gained from top or mid-tier law firms or in-house (with strong legal training).

  • Be experienced in mining, energy, and/or oil & gas law.

  • Be experienced in drafting, negotiating contracts and agreements relating to mining, energy and/or oil and gas matters.

  • A pragmatic, commercial mindset and the ability to thrive in a challenging environment.

  • Be client centric adaptable and able to hit the ground running.

  • Enjoy partnering with businesses and managing stakeholder relationships.
