Who are we looking for?
We're currently partnering with two top-tier law firms that are seeking experienced Senior Associates to join their teams on 12-month contract opportunities based in Sydney.
These roles offer the chance to work on some of the market's most significant and complex disputes, with exposure to high-profile litigation, class actions, investigations and other large-scale contentious matters. The successful candidates will work closely with leading partners and clients, taking ownership of key matters while providing strategic and commercially focused legal advice.
We are interested in speaking with Senior Associates, or exceptional Associates ready to step up, who have a strong foundation in commercial litigation and disputes and are looking for their next challenge.
In these roles, you may:
Manage and advise on complex litigation and dispute matters
Take a lead role in significant class actions and large-scale commercial disputes
Develop litigation strategies and provide pragmatic, commercially focused advice
Manage court processes, pleadings, evidence preparation and case progression
Conduct investigations and advise on risk-related and sensitive matters
Engage directly with clients, counsel, experts and other key stakeholders
Draft, review and negotiate a range of legal documents and submissions
Support dispute resolution processes, including negotiations and mediation
Identify legal risks and develop practical solutions to achieve strategic outcomes
Collaborate closely with partners and senior lawyers on high-profile matters
About you
Have approximately 1–2 years' PQE at Senior Associate level, or equivalent experience
Bring a strong background in commercial litigation, disputes or other contentious practice areas
Have experience managing complex litigation matters with appropriate supervision
Demonstrate strong stakeholder management and client relationship skills
Be comfortable taking ownership of matters and working autonomously
Possess excellent technical legal skills, commercial judgement and attention to detail
Be an effective communicator with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships
Have experience in class actions, investigations, insolvency or other complex disputes (highly regarded)
