Geographic Legal Counsel – Ireland
Location: Dublin, Ireland | Hybrid (2 days onsite)

LOD is partnering with a global organisation to provide an experienced in-house legal professional for a senior role in Ireland. This position offers the opportunity to join one of the world’s largest and most respected in-house legal teams, known for its collaborative and inclusive culture.

As Geographic Legal Counsel, you will advise on compliance, data protection, and local legal matters, ensuring the organisation meets regulatory obligations while supporting business operations.
What Does the Client Need Help With?
The Client is seeking an experienced in-house legal professional to provide dual support:
Acting as Geographic Legal Counsel for Ireland, advising on compliance, data protection, and local legal matters.
Serving as Legal Lead for The Dock, supporting innovation projects, IP strategy, and commercial contracting for client deals.
What Will the Role Involve?
This is a high-impact role for a senior lawyer to cover an exciting dual-role spanning the below responsibilities:
Role 1: Geographic Legal Counsel Manager – GCC Ireland Team
Legal Compliance & Risk Management
Monitor new laws/regulations and case law impacting Accenture Ireland; notify stakeholders of relevant developments.
Provide local legal support on Ireland-related compliance queries from business and corporate functions.
Local Legal Guidance & Data Protection
Lead Ireland data protection reviews; advise on global/multi-country privacy queries, employment team issues, and requests from data privacy/security teams.
Support client account teams and legal teams on Ireland-specific contract requirements and client requests.
Corporate Citizenship Legal Support
Advise on volunteering opportunities, manage contracting for donations/grants, and address compliance queries.
Attend bi-weekly calls with the Corporate Citizenship team to review current/upcoming projects.
Anti-Corruption & Compliance Reviews
Review business intermediary/luminary requests and gifts/expenses; liaise with Anti-Corruption Team as needed.
Other Responsibilities
Act as deputy legal contact for dawn raid process.
Maintain regular connects with Ireland’s Director of Legal Services.
Manage lobbying returns (3x/year); liaise with Ireland leadership and UKI Government Relations Lead. Role 2: Legal Lead – Accenture The Dock
Governance & Advisory
Attend in-person Dock team meetings to advise on current/upcoming projects.
Join leadership meetings every 2nd Tuesday/Thursday; provide input on commercial/IP aspects.
Follow up post-meetings to gather details, engage in projects (especially at contracting stage), and review prototypes/assets/materials.
Collaboration & Alignment
Monthly remote meetings with Accenture Labs leadership on projects.
Bi-weekly meetings with Innovation Legal Team; work closely on Dock projects.
Contracting
Act as legal project manager for client deals:
Drive timely progression; escalate issues to Dock leadership.
Draft and negotiate commercial contracts with clients/partners.
Liaise with Contracting teams, Contract Managers, and Innovation Legal Team.
Attend client negotiation calls/meetings.
Serve as Dock’s legal contact; hold contract review meetings.
Review MSAs and related agreements.
Prototype & Asset Review
Assess Dock-created materials for compliance, IP, privacy, and commercial risks; manage internal approvals and liaise on behalf of Dock.
Project Strategy
Advise on data structuring, IP strategy, compliance, and overall project approach from inception.
Tax Alignment
Coordinate with global tax team as needed.
What Skills Do They Need?
8-10 years PQE, ideally in-house.
Expertise in compliance, data protection, intellectual property, contracting, and employment law.
Strong understanding of the Irish legal landscape.
Ability to manage complex projects and liaise with multiple stakeholders.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
