Our client is a globally recognised professional body that promotes and enforces the highest international standards in the valuation, management, and development of land, real estate, construction, and infrastructure. The organisation provides guidance, regulation, and education to ensure integrity and professionalism across the property and built environment sectors.

What does the client need help with?
A senior lawyer is leaving at the end of February, creating a gap in the legal team while recruitment for a permanent replacement is underway. They need interim support to assist with ongoing matters and provide additional capacity for a major governance project.

What will the role involve?

• You will work directly with the General Counsel on a range of commercial legal matters.
• You will assist with a large governance project aimed at modernising and streamlining organisational structures.
• You will manage governance-related queries and FAQs, helping teams understand governance documents and interim processes.
• You will ensure compliance with governance structures and provide clarity on what teams can and cannot do during this period.
• You will act as a safe pair of hands, taking on delegated work and working alongside the GC

What skills do they need?
A generalist lawyer with strong governance experience, ideally someone comfortable working across multiple areas of law and supporting organisational governance projects. They should be pragmatic, adaptable, and able to manage complex governance structures while providing clear guidance to internal teams.
